Pipeline
strainers and filters entraps scales, solid particles, dust,
sand etc. Which may cause damage to
valuable plant machineries such as valve seats, pump impellers, compressor
rings etc.
Additionally these strains out contaminants from incoming fluid and helps
prevent contamination of food,
drugs and process fluids. Two major categories of strainers are Y type and
Basket type. In basket type
simplex and duplex construction are available. Additionally during startup
of plant. These filters have very
large filtration area thus entrapping large qty of particulate, which are
normally present in pipeline during
commissioning stage of any plant.
Application :
Any plant using liquid,
steam, vapour and other process fluids.
